What nexus Is

nexus is a home AI assistant — software that runs on computers inside your home. It helps with everyday tasks: answering questions, managing schedules, monitoring the house, and assisting family members.

Data Collection

nexus does not collect personal data for external use. All information stays on machines inside the home:

• Conversation history is stored locally on in-house servers
• No data is sent to third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services
• No data is sold or shared with any external party

Camera and Microphone

nexus uses cameras and microphones only when you activate them — either by voice command, by touch, or by explicit request. nexus does not continuously record or stream audio/video.

• Voice input activates only when you call nexus by name
• Camera input activates only when you turn on Vision mode
• No audio or video is stored permanently without your knowledge

AI Processing

Some AI processing may use external API providers (e.g., for large language models). When this happens:

• Only the specific query text is sent — not your identity, location, or prior conversation
• Providers do not use your data to train their models (opt-out where available)
• Audio and images are processed on-device or in-house when possible

Children

nexus is designed to be safe for children. Kids' interactions are stored separately and treated with extra care. nexus always identifies itself as AI.
